Context and objectives
A popular gambling company faced increasing complexity in its data environment:
The volume of online game transactions had outgrown the existing dashboarding system.
The involvement of external game partners made transaction recording particularly challenging.
With multiple sources feeding into an outdated setup, the company lacked the data oversight needed to support timely marketing decisions.
To address this, the company contacted Agilytic to design and implement an improved PowerBI dashboard solution.
Approach
Data source migration and dashboard refinement
First, we switched the data source and created a first working version. We updated and refined existing draft dashboards with the newly created data sources.
Visual development based on the client backlog
New visuals were built from a backlog established during a previous project. This backlog originated from Excel graphs created by a member of the client's team. Each graph was adapted into the PowerBI dashboard environment, where visuals are more dynamic and interactive.
Iterative prototyping and knowledge transfer
Through side-by-side collaboration, we used prototyping to iteratively improve the visuals with the client. To ensure long-term independence and ease of use, we trained the client's internal teams on all deliverables:

Results
The PowerBI dashboard solution gave the company flexible, scalable reporting capabilities. Business departments can now access live data to make quick and impactful decisions. When questions arise, teams can reference the provided documentation to understand the underlying data. Newly hired developers can also add features or adapt dashboards as requested by business users, without relying on external support.
